    📖 Descoperire și istorie

    Aventurinul este un cuarț microcristalin cu incluziuni minerale care îi dau un efect strălucitor, sidefat, cunoscut sub numele de aventurescență.

    • Numele provine din italianul “a ventura” (întâmplare, noroc), deoarece piatra a fost descoperită accidental în secolul al XVIII-lea, când un sticlar venețian a scăpat pilitură de cupru într-un amestec de sticlă topită. Rezultatul a fost o sticlă strălucitoare asemănătoare pietrei, numită ulterior „aventurin de sticlă” sau „goldstone”.

    • Ulterior, mineralogii au observat că același efect optic se regăsește în anumite varietăți de cuarț natural, botezându-l „aventurin”.

    • Culoarea și strălucirea sa sunt date de incluziuni precum:

      • Fuchsit (mica verde cromatică) → aventurin verde
