În ultimii ani, termenul de coach a devenit extrem de popular. Îl întâlnim pe rețelele sociale, în conferințe motivaționale și în numeroase programe de dezvoltare personală. În același timp, profesia de terapeut holistic este adesea confundată cu cea de coach, deși cele două au obiective, metode și responsabilități diferite.
Acest articol nu își propune să stabilească o ierarhie între cele două profesii. Există coach-i excepționali și terapeuți extraordinari, după cum există și persoane insuficient pregătite în ambele domenii. Diferența nu este dată doar de titlu, ci de nivelul de pregătire, experiență, etică și responsabilitate.
Ce este un coach?
Coach-ul este, în esență, un facilitator al schimbării. Rolul său este să ajute clientul să-și clarifice obiectivele, să identifice resursele interioare, să-și organizeze planurile și să găsească soluții prin întrebări și tehnici specifice.
Un coach nu ar trebui să trateze traume psihice, tulburări emoționale sau afecțiuni medicale și nici să înlocuiască psihologul, psihoterapeutul sau medicul.
Un coach profesionist știe foarte bine unde se termină competențele sale și când este necesar să recomande clientului un specialist din alt domeniu.
Ce este un terapeut holistic?
Terapeutul holistic privește omul ca pe un întreg.
Nu tratează doar un obiectiv sau o problemă punctuală, ci urmărește relația dintre corp, emoții, minte, energie, stil de viață și dimensiunea spirituală, acolo unde aceasta este relevantă și dorită de client.
În funcție de pregătirea sa, terapeutul holistic poate utiliza tehnici complementare precum:
Reiki;
cristaloterapie;
radiestezie;
meditație și relaxare profundă;
terapii energetice;
tehnici de respirație;
hipnoză (dacă este calificat în acest domeniu);
alte metode complementare în care este certificat.
Fiecare tehnică presupune studiu, practică, supervizare și responsabilitate.
Diferența fundamentală
Coach-ul lucrează în principal cu obiectivele viitoare.
Terapeutul holistic lucrează atât cu prezentul, cât și cu factorii care pot influența starea actuală a persoanei: emoții, tipare de comportament, stres, dezechilibre energetice, convingeri limitative și resurse interioare.
Aceste abordări nu sunt concurente. În multe situații ele se pot completa foarte bine.
Cursul nu te transformă automat în profesionist
În orice profesie de ajutor apare aceeași întrebare:
Cât de pregătit este omul căruia îi încredințezi sănătatea, emoțiile sau echilibrul tău?
Un certificat reprezintă începutul unui drum, nu finalul lui.
Competența profesională se construiește prin:
sute sau chiar mii de ore de studiu;
practică susținută;
lucru cu oameni reali;
dezvoltare personală continuă;
formări suplimentare;
mentorat și supervizare;
respectarea unui cod etic.
În profesiile care implică lucrul cu oamenii nu există scurtături.
Responsabilitatea este uriașă
Atunci când un om vine într-un cabinet sau într-o sesiune online, el nu aduce doar o întrebare.
Aduce speranțe, vulnerabilități, frici, traume, suferințe și încrederea că persoana din fața lui îl va ghida cu profesionalism.
De aceea, orice specialist are obligația morală să spună uneori:
"Această situație depășește competențele mele."
Aceasta nu este o slăbiciune.
Este unul dintre cele mai importante semne ale profesionalismului.
De ce continui să mă formez?
După mulți ani de experiență în terapii holistice, Reiki, cristaloterapie, radiestezie și alte terapii complementare, continui să urmez noi programe de formare, inclusiv în hipnoză spirituală.
Nu pentru că experiența acumulată nu ar fi suficientă.
Ci pentru că fiecare metodă nouă îmi oferă instrumente suplimentare prin care pot adapta intervenția la nevoile fiecărei persoane.
Un profesionist autentic nu încetează niciodată să învețe.
Cu cât cunoaște mai mult, cu atât înțelege mai bine cât de complexă este ființa umană.
Cum alegi specialistul potrivit?
Indiferent dacă alegi un coach sau un terapeut holistic, pune câteva întrebări simple:
Care este pregătirea profesională?
Ce formări și certificări deține?
De cât timp practică?
Lucrează în limitele competențelor sale?
Are recomandări și rezultate reale?
Continuă să învețe și să se perfecționeze?
Nu popularitatea pe rețelele sociale definește un profesionist.
Nu numărul de urmăritori.
Nu reclamele.
Ci seriozitatea, experiența, etica și respectul pentru omul aflat în fața sa.
Concluzie
Atât coachingul, cât și terapia holistică își au locul lor în dezvoltarea umană.
Important este ca fiecare profesionist să cunoască foarte clar limitele domeniului în care activează și să își exercite profesia cu responsabilitate, modestie și respect pentru oameni.
Încrederea unui client este un privilegiu, nu un drept câștigat printr-o diplomă sau prin succesul din mediul online.
Adevăratul profesionist nu promite miracole. El promite să lucreze cu integritate, competență și responsabilitate, având mereu binele clientului pe primul loc.
